Hope arrives

There is a Surgical center down in Vegas that takes Medicare patients. I'll have to wait over the weekend to get any additional information. This one would work well, since my brother lives down there, and I could either fly back and forth for appointments, or take the RV down with the DH and the dogs for my surgery. I'm hopeful again. We will see what transpires next week.

Disappointment #1

Well, they are not taking any new Medicare patients. The waiting list is 2 years long for if and when they will take Medicare patients. I will try some other hospitals in Vegas or Sacramento and see if any of them take new medicare patients. Otherwise, anyone want to give me the money for self pay? (ha ha)

Still Waiting

It's been a week, and I still havent heard from Western Bariactric Institute and I can't get started until they call me.

The Begining

I've started thinking about having LapBand surgery to get this weight issue under control. Not only will I loose weight, I will be able to keep it off and not regain what I've lost. I know it is a drastic step, but continued back and leg pain and health problems should be eliminated.

I go to my first introductory seminar tomorrow night, so will get alot of questions answered. This is truly the beginning of the journey. I'm also reading the LapBand forum at html://www.lapbandtalk.com for more information than I really want to know. (well, not really)
